| Thanksgiving
Turkey Drive 2009 |

For
years, the East Bay Nation of Men (EBNoM) has led a "Turkey Drive" to
provide turkey dinners with "all the fixin's" to East Bay families in
need. Last year EBNoM and many generous donors - including corporate
donors Juniper Networks and Kaiser Permanente - provided 1,200 families
with food "baskets" during the holiday season. Today the need is even
greater.
Organizations who benefited last year and who will benefit again this
year are: West Contra Costa County Emergency Services, the Ennis Church
of Christ (Richmond, CA), People's Grocery (Oakland, CA), Thunder Road
(Oakland), Building Opportunities for Self Sufficiency (Berkeley), Alameda
Family Services - Head Start Program (Alameda), The Alameda Food Bank,
Meals on Wheels (Alameda) and La Clinica de Raza (Oakland).
This year we will be partnering with many of the same groups, as well
as the North Richmond Neighborhood House.
Your generous contributions can make it possible for hundreds of families
to again enjoy the season. In this difficult economy, we are blessed
to be able to provide help for so many others. Whether as a company
or individual, your support will make a difference and is greatly appreciated. |
