Bushwackers

The Bushwackers are the oldest team in EBNOM with many members having committed significant portions of their lives to creating an organization for men and to providing a support for men to realize their dreams. With each man being a graduate of the Sterling Men's Weekend, the team is presently comprised of 8 men, ranging in age from their 30s to their 60s. Some men are family men, all but one are married.

Below each man offers something about themselves, their team, or their work with men.

Burns

Committed to learning to be serene and accept the things I cannot change; have the courage to change the things I can, and acquiring the wisdom to know the difference.

Rosen

I appreciate EBNOM because it gives men a place to support men and to be supported as a man, something rare in today's society. It gives men the opportunity to do things bigger than themselves. I have been on a team of men for over 20 years now. Starting with the Sterling Men's Weekend, I have transformed my life from that of a non-committed man to a leader of men, both in my work life and in my community. In addition, I am the proud father of a beautiful family.

Mc Mahon

I have been on a men's team for close to 25 years. It has made a huge difference in all aspects of my life. Being an active participant on the Bushwackers has allowed me to have men in my life as committed to my success and well being as I am to theirs. This trust, brotherhood and commitment to support each man to be his best self are the gifts we give each other each time we meet. We are truly blessed and I wish this blessing on all men.

Darck

Listen to what men want, hear what they truly say, give them what they need. Speak your truth even if it might bring you disfavor. Support men so that they embrace their own truth, commitment and principles and so they may in turn be able to support others. Practice selfless service without recognition so that one day you may serve the highest Truth.

Team Leader Vision

The Bushwackers are a team rooted in commitment that gives rise to Love. They are a team that leads by example. The Bushwackers are a team of men that whether they are working at a community service project, eating at a restaurant, or just having fun playing ping pong, people are affected by the relationship that radiates from the men - men who are together as one team yet free within themselves as individuals. This relationship, this love is infectious.

The Bushwackers are a team where a man can be heard and accepted without qualification, where a man is accepted for who he is and for who he wants to be. The Bushwackers are a team where the strength of the relationship is enough to allow a man to step out, to take risks in his life knowing his back is covered. It is a team where truth is honored, where a man's word is honored, where men give the best of themselves, where men say it like it is, where support is multidimensional and where support is about the man being supported and not the supporter. The Bushwackers are a team where a man can ask for support in what he wants and in return, get what he needs.
