"Hear Me Out!" Poetry Project Finale
Celebratory Poetry Reading & Fundraising Event

WriterCoach Connection helps develop the writing and critical thinking skills of students in public schools by recruiting and training community volunteers to work with the students, one-on-one, in English class on their writing assignments.

The recent budget crisis and cuts have left WriterCoach Connection with very little funding in Albany. Our goal is to raise money to help fund the program, as well as raise awareness of the coaching program.

"Hear Me Out!" is a special program jointly sponsored by WriterCoach Connection and EBNoM. For seven weeks the students will create poetry under the guidance of their volunteer mentors. At the Finale they will read their work before a live audience. Teachers, coaches, and parents will share a little of their stories as well.

Cost:

Admission is free.

  ...and  this is a fundraiser as well as a celebration. Donations will be respectfully requested.
